Pupil Support
Pupil Support Services at Alderwood School are a group of specialist departments, each working with a unique pupil group. Their collective aim is to ensure that all pupils from the most able to the most vulnerable are able to enjoy and achieve at school. Each department has a Manager who is responsible for the staff and pupils in their care. They work collaboratively across the school to ensure that individuals receive the support, guidance, counselling and differentiated education that they need.
The Pupil Support Services are:
Inclusion Department and Attendance
Working with pupils who experience difficulties in school due to social, emotional and behavioural issues. Attendance is part of the Inclusion Department, working to support both pupils and families to ensure good attendance in school.
